Loving Mamahood: Christmas with Grandmama Pinkston

I think I'm blogging of the last Christmas get together of the year....On December 31st, my mom, my sister and her husband, and my two nephews (Aaron and Wesley) headed southwest toward my house for a wonderful Christmas celebration. Actually, my mom came down earlier in the week because she was off from work that week and I had a dr. appointment scheduled with an ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby. So on Wednesday, December 28th, we found out that God has blessed us with a baby boy....Derrick Bennett! Bryan got to work from home that week and my mom, Hannah and myself just enjoyed visiting and cooking for Saturday. Pamela, Rob and the boys got to my house around 10 am for a brunch, then Bryan read the account of Jesus's birth out of the Bible, we opened presents, took a walk down to the creek, played some games, had a wonderful supper of chili and mom's homemade chicken salad (yum!) and then Pamela and Rob headed home while the boys and grandmama stayed the night. After Hannah went to bed, we played a few games of slap uno with the boys which is always fun and then pulled out the air mattress ending the night with popcorn and a movie. It was a great time!
