WHAT WE WERE UP TO IN SEPTEMBER

And finally...as close to normal as we were gonna get...sweet girl...

We did a fall themed sensory bin this month with little pumpkins, gourdes, window stickers, fall plastic plates/trays and some fall themed stickers.

This was definitely the hit thing of the bin....and the stickers.

A whopping 15 pounds and 13 ounces at Derrick's 4 month appointment.

A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION!

I think we were having paint time out on the porch and Hannah decided she'd rather grab her pretend microphone (the marker) and put on a concert for me and Derrick...

Water Bead Fun!!! I saw someone post pictures of this with their kiddos so I decided to order some off of amazon. I had never even heard of them before, so when they came in tiny little packages of what looked like little tiny seeds, I wasn't sold. Hannah and I poured them in a bowl and put water over them, walked off, almost forgot about them, and then after getting busy throughout the day, Hannah stopped and said "Look mommy! They grew!". And they had...and they were so much fun. Hannah pretended it was the ocean, putting all of her ocean toys in. We put her plastic fish in there. And then we just had fun feeling it between our fingers. Awesome sensory activity with fun had by all ages in our household...and only a dollar!

Derrick is starting to come out of his shell a little with lots of smiles by the end of the month...

We read lots of books...

Washed lots of dishes...

And did alot of baking this month...

FIRST FAMILY OF FOUR WEEKEND GETAWAY...
Bryan's birthday is on September 22 and mine is on the 25th, so we decided we would do a family getaway in Louisville to celebrate the big 35. Why Louisville? Well, our Natural Doctor is there, so we made an appointment for us all to go see her and since it is such a long trip, decided we'd stay in a hotel and go to the Zoo which was on my "things to do in the fall" list. This was Hannah's (and Derrick's) first time to the zoo, so I wanted to capture it in pictures for sure.

Breakfast was awesome the next morning at the hotel. This was the beginning stage of Hannah refusing to smile for pictures. She is slowly but surely coming out of that stage now 4 months later...

ANOTHER BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION!
September is a big month of birthdays in our family. This one was for a very special lady...Bryan's grandmother Carney. We all met at Lake Cumberland for a fun-filled family weekend to honor the birthday girl. It was also a celebration of Grandpa K's birthday (Bryan's dad, Steve) who's birthday is at the end of October, but I somehow missed getting a picture of him.
